Harris County MUD No. 365 and No. 364 are both served by the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) located on the north side of Jarvis Road, just west of Barker Cypress Road. The WWTP has been in operation since it was originally commissioned, 23 years ago. Due to increased demand, the WWTP is approaching the maximum capacity that it can treat.
Sander Engineering Corporation designed an upgrade to the WWTP that will allow the facility to continue reliable operation for the foreseeable future. The upgrade includes a new aeration basin, two new digesters, a new air blower with control panel, along with stairs and walking platforms. Please see the proposed design below:
R+B Group, Inc. has been selected to construct the upgrade, and work is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2019. MUD 365’s share of the costs to complete the project is approximately $980,000. Construction is expected to take approximately 1 year to complete. This project will not impact the service you receive from the district as the WWTP will remain in operation during the construction.
