Joe Myers
President
Joe Myers moved to Coles Crossing in June of 2002. Joe has been involved in the community from the beginning by first attending all of the MUD 365 meetings to gain a better understanding of what the MUD did for the community and then running as a candidate for the MUD in 2004. Joe was elected that year and re-elected in 2008. Joe also served in dual role as a Director for the Coles Crossing Community Association (also known as the HOA) for one term from 2004 to 2007.
Joe was instrumental in spear heading the trail system that is so popular in the community today. There is approximately 5 miles of asphalt trails and approximately one mile of crushed granite adjacent to the drainage system. This network is very well used throughout the day and an excellent addition to our quality of life.
Joe earned an engineering degree from the University of Houston and has over 27 years of engineering and engineering management experience. After retiring from the Harris County Flood Control District last year he joined a large engineering firm where he does business development. The new firm is well known for their water, wastewater, and water quality experience which will come in handy when dealing with the main function of a MUD.
Joe has served on many boards of direction including the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and Cy-Fair High School Project Prom Class of 2008. Joe volunteers with his church fraternal organization, Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM) and many others.
Joe believes in:
- Participation by all residents in the community
- Good Communication
- Partnerships with community and governmental entities
- Expansion and enhancements of the amenities of the community
Joe and his wife, Maureen, have one daughter.
